Practical guide

Make your CV easier to read, before you send it

A practical editing checklist for showing your experience clearly and keeping your AutoLinky profile accurate.

Start with the role you want

Write a short headline that describes your actual work and the next role you are looking for. Compare it with a few relevant job posts. Highlight the experience you have that those roles need; leave out claims you cannot explain in an interview.

Show the work, then the result

For each role, describe what you did, the tools or methods you used, and the outcome. Use a real number when you have one. A clear description is better than an invented improvement percentage.

For example: “Prepared weekly stock reports in Excel and flagged items for reorder.” This is an illustration of a specific statement, not a result you should copy into your CV.

Check the file as a reader

Open your exported PDF or DOCX. Check dates, contact details, headings and line breaks. Try selecting and copying a paragraph: if the text is missing or jumbled, fix the source document before uploading. Keep a separate editable copy for future changes.

Review what AutoLinky extracted

After upload, review your headline, target roles, skills and search countries in Profile. Correct missing details rather than assuming that every item was extracted. Revisit your profile when your goals change. A match score helps you prioritize; it cannot predict a hiring decision.
